2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV: Range & Specs. The forthcoming 2024 Chevy Equinox EV is getting further refreshments. GM’s best-selling SUV will gain numerous upgrades. That includes various exterior and interior refreshments. Mechanically, Equinox will be unchanged for 2024. However, one of the coolest parts is the sporty RS trim level. This treatment is already available on the Traverse and Blazer models.
Now, Equinox is getting the same version. To round the updates, Chevrolet will introduce minor changes in equipment. That means you can expect slightly more standard features than before. New Equinox will go on sale this fall.
Engine Specs
If the reports are correct, new 2024 Chevy Equinox EV won’t introduce upgrades under the hood. Thanks to that, this SUV is mechanically a carryover. The same 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine is standard once again. It can produce 170 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The optional 2.0-liter turbo engine provides more power.
This reliable powertrain delivers 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of twisting power. On top of that, it will use a 9-speed automatic transmission. A 2.0-liter displacement also powers the new RS trim level, along with the LT and Premier models. Equinox will remain a front-wheel-drive model. An all-wheel-drive system will be optional on the base trim level.
2024 Equinox Exterior Changes
When it comes to exterior changes, the front fascia will suffer the most. New 2024 Chevy Equinox EV will gain a Camaro-like appearance upfront. The headlamps are slimmer, and the indicators are moved above them. The grille is reshaped, and it provides a more horizontal look. At the top of the grille, the bar extends into the lights.
Additionally, fog lights are larger than before and are shaped in the same way as the air intakes. The back of the vehicle provides new taillights. Premier trim level will gain new 19-inch wheels. Speaking of trim levels, new RS trim will bring a blackout appearance. That includes plenty of dark finishes, including the grille, lower bodyside, and the wheels.
Interior Updates
The interior won’t suffer such serious modifications. The only change in the base model will be new equipment. The upcoming 2024 Chevy Equinox EV will introduce optional automatic parking assist, surround-view camera, and adaptive cruise control. That also means that some optional features will be standard now.

As for the RS model, it will gain a special shift knob and black upholstery with red contrast stitching. Moreover, the arrival of the RS package means the Midnight Edition is no longer available. Whatsoever, the Sport Edition has been dropped as well.
2024 Chevy Equinox EV Price and Release Date
The arriving model will get a small price increase. The current model starts at $25,000. That means the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV will become available for around $26,000. According to numerous reliable reports, new Equinox will go on sale this fall.
The highlight of the new model will be the comeback of the sporty RS trim level. However, Midnight Edition and Sports Package are no longer available.
