Typically, the 70/SS Chevy was among the pioneers who transformed the way we look at automobiles, but the Chevelle nameplate has been discontinued for nearly 50 years. When General Motors resurrected the Chevelle nameplate in 2013, there was speculation that the legendary Chevrolet muscle vehicle will be revived. Since then, the carmaker has revived a few classic models, but not the Chevy muscle car. The revival would come from somewhere else.
The good news is that Trans Am Worldwide will reintroduce the emblem as the 2025 70/SS. But does it live up to its Chevelle moniker?
Engine

The new Chevy Chevelle 2025 receives high grades for the amount of power generated by each of its three potential engine plants. The base 2025 Chevy Chevelle Horsepower model is the 450-horsepower LT1.
Interior
Engineers at Trans Am have spent hundreds of hours redesigning the 1970s muscle car on a current foundation. Trans Am CEO Tod Warmack claims they did it done in a way that pays respect to one of the muscle car era’s most iconic symbols. That means the makeover will also affect the interior elements.
While the interior of the Chevy 2025 Chevelle is typical Camaro, it has a retro-styled carpet and seats, as well as wonderful accents like the 70/SS Hurst cue ball shift knob and badging.
Exterior
The design characteristics of the 70/SS from the original 1970 model are borrowed by Trans Am and blended with a touch of modernity – the firm has been working on this for several years. The exterior was completely redesigned on the base of the new sixth-generation Camaro. The goal was to transform the newest model to look like a 1970 Chevelle Super Sport.
The back of the 2025 Chevelle has been lengthened, and a new bumper, deck lid, and quarter panels have been installed. In addition, the rear now sports square tail lamps. It includes quad lighting and twin rectangular grills on a new front end. Despite all of the reskinning, the windshield remains unaltered.

Those who wish to own the reborn 70/SS must act quickly. There are just 25 LS6/X engine package Chevelles available. So, how much does the new Chevrolet Chevelle cost?So far, the price of the 450 hp 6.2-liter V8 2025 Chevrolet Chevelle SS begins at $150,000. Trans Am Worldwide does not own the Chevelle trademark and will not use it for their new vehicle. However, Chevrolet will need to renew the trademark next year if they want to use it for their planned new Camaro electric models (which are yet unknown).
